Statement of Standards

I am very grateful for the several questions about what our standards are, as writers.

"But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: having a good conscience..." (1 Peter 3:15, 16a)

If any of you still have questions, feel free to ask them and we will try our best to answer them!

Some of our eBooks feature young women who are not yet Christians but later give their lives to Him. They engage in activities that would be unthinkable for many of us Christian young women today, such as flirtations/underhand dealings with young men, disrespect toward family, gossip, etc. These are not in any way glorified, but are included to reveal how lost one is without Him until they are set free.

Our bio states:

"With the realization of so many books that are deceivingly impure and inappropriate, Literary Maidens Publishing was created to offer wholesome material that is God-honoring and appropriate for any age groupOur goal is to provide historical fiction (and non-fiction) that endorses Christian values."

Our goal in writing is to portray the Lord Jesus working in the lives of our characters, in such a way that our readers can relate to.

Our literature is based on real life situations and does not accept, praise or idolize:

  • Filthy language
  • Lasciviousness
  • Fornication
  • Drunkenness
  • Lust of the eyes
  • Lust of the flesh
  • Pride of life,

but does not pretend these things do not exist, as does the Bible.

(Galatians 5:19-21, Romans 13:14, Ephesians 4:22 just to name a few.)
